Oasis Academy Immingham celebrated it's very own "England Day" supporting England during their only World Cup win against Slovenia, and raising money for the Y11 Wales Football Tournament Trip.
A packed crowd were treated to a variety of musical talent from Music students in Yr 10 and 11. The event was supported by the Immingham Town Mayor, Councillor Sandford and an audience of all ages enjoyed the entertaining night.
Year 6 students from Coomb-Briggs primary joined the academy for the day and enjoyed the Oasis Juniors day taking part in the following activities :-
Supermarket Slip-Up - where students had to solve a chemical muddle puzzle to identify five white baking ingredients using three simple tests.
Rocket balloon challenge - where students had to design a method of moving a load along a certain distance of fishing line, within a set time.
Fun with forensics where students learnt about fingerprinting, ink analysis, and powder testing.
Friday the 5th March students took part in the "Drop Everything and Read" event on the last period of the day. Students and teachers in all lessons stopped working and picked up a book in an initiative to encourage more reading.
