On Thursday 7th and Friday 8th October, 15 Year 11 BTEC Acting students participated in a two day mask workshop facilitated by Russell Dean of 'Strangeface Mask Theatre Company'.

London was the destination for nearly 50 students and staff as they headed off on a trip of culture and fun. Rehearsals for We Will Rock You are in full swing, with students from all year groups auditioning to be in this year’s whole Academy production.
A packed crowd were treated to a variety of musical talent from Music students in Yr 10 and 11. The event was supported by the Immingham Town Mayor, Councillor Sandford and an audience of all ages enjoyed the entertaining night.
Year 7 students were involved in a variety of activities throughout the week in English, Maths, Science, Art, Music and Drama which linked to the plot and themes of Roald Dahl’s classic story George’s Marvellous Medicine.
Acting students enjoyed a day of intense pressure creating a performance from scratch in just 12 hours....

24 Hour Football Challenge – 1,440 minutes of football started at 6.30pm on Friday 26th March and finished at 6.30pm on Saturday 27th. 24 hours of hard-core endurance faced students from Years 10 and 11 during the weekend that really brought everyone together.......
On Friday 19th March 2010, Mr Foxton and 4 Year 12 students embarked on a trip to the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarbrough to see a production of 'Medea' performed by Northern Broadsides.
Engineering Day took place last Friday with Year 7, 8, and 9 students getting involved in a range of engineering processes throughout the day.
The heating problems that we experienced yesterday have been rectified and we do not envisage any further immediate problems. This means that the Academy is open as usual and we will now be focussed on making up the learning time.
We would like to apologise for having to close the Academy today, but, unfortunately we were unable to solve heating problems that arose as a result of several burst pipes in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Fifteen Level 3 Acting students from Year 10 went to the Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre for a night of Theatre. Mr Foxton was joined by Mrs Rothenburg and Mr Brooks on a trip to see the ghost story The Woman in Black on Monday 22nd February.

Twelve members of the Oasis Academy Immingham recently took part in the Methodist Chapel’s 39th Pantomime, performed by members of the Trinity Methodist Youth Club and Friends.
Former hard man Gram Seed will be visiting Immingham Town on the 25th of Feb, to tell his story, and encourage people to explore Christianity. The visit is to launch an ‘Alpha Course’, which is designed to encourage people to think more about the Christian faith.

Following the Academy's recent OFSTED inspection the results are now available. The Academy was judged "Satisfactory" and showed big improvements in key areas giving plenty of positives for the future..
