Threesixty Volunteers:
In Immingham there are two Oasis threesixty volunteers, Corrine from Northamptonshire and Luke from Leeds. They are on a gap year volunteering doing youth and community work around Immingham. They are working in the Academy school, running a Christian lunch time club and enrichment activities. They are also here to mentor a few students. Luke also volunteers at the Motor vehicle workshop/ bricklaying centre a few days a week and Corrine has a day working with the elder generation at the Methodist Church.
They are also filling up their evenings with many different activities. Corrine helps at the youth centre on a Monday and Friday night. On a Wednesday night they both help at the youth group run by the Methodist Church.
They are participating in Trinity Methodist church’s pantomime, Luke is helping out behind the scenes and Corrine is performing in it. They are also setting up a new church within the community to try and provide somewhere for people to go where it is relatable to them.
