Oasis Academy Immingham Reaches Major Construction Milestone

Oasis Academy Immingham held a topping out ceremony to mark a significant milestone in the development of its new building for, which will open in January 2009.

Sponsored by Oasis Community Learning, the Academy provides a welcoming place for young people of the surrounding community, as well as their families and friends.

The Academy’s Principal, Brian Dixon, said:

The building is no longer a dream, but a reality. It is a milestone for the building of the new school, and it is important for the aspirations of the community of Immingham.

It is difficult to find the words, it is a very euphoric feeling seeing the building taking shape.

Steve Chalke MBE, CEO of Oasis Community Learning, said:

The new building will be an inspirational place where students can realise their full potential, and it will act as a hub for a wide range of activities where the community will be warmly welcomed.
