BTEC Introductory Certificate and Diploma (Levels 1-2 Y12-13)

This course is the equivalent of 2 A levels. It is a practical vocational course which will be tailored to suit your needs and interests. Unit options will be discussed which include: TV and Film Acting; Theatre in Education; Masks; Contemporary Theatre; Classical Theatre; Clowning; Physical Theatre and many more. Students will then be able to progress on to a Theatre/Drama degree course.

There are no Formal entry requirements for this course. Application will be interview prior to being accepted

Motor Vehicle Studies
ABC Diploma
(Levels 1-2  Y12-13)

This course is based at our Manby Road site. The flexible framework of this course allows students to acquire the introductory knowledge and skills relevant to various areas of industry involved in motor vehicle repar and related fields. Units studied include: spark ignition power units, compression ignition fuel systems, battery and lighting systems, vehicle braking systems, vehicle body repair, vehicle wheels and tyres, vehicle valeting and an introduction to motorcycle maintenance.

Students are given the knowledge and skills needed to gain a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification, to enter employment in the engineering sector or to progress to higher education vocational qualifications. Units studied include: communications for technicians, engineering secondary/finishing processes and Computer Aided Manufacturing.

Product Design
AS/A2 Level

The course covers the main areas of study such as materials and components; broader issues for the designer; methods in which materials and components can be manipulated; computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacture (CAM).  On completion students can progress onto a Higher Education course.

GCSE grade C or equivalent in Resistant Matrtials or Product Design. Alternatively a merit at level 2 Engineering
