The English department has expanded rapidly and now needs an additional teacher to augment current provision.  We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner and good team player to play a key role in securing a verdict of outstanding for this department. You will have the opportunity to teach all year groups including 6^th Form.

Oasis Academy Immingham is an 11-18 comprehensive and inclusive Academy with Engineering as its main specialism and Business and Enterprise as its second specialism.  It opened in September 2007 as part of the accelerated academies programme and moved into the stunning new Academy buildings in January 2009.  Ofsted described it as a rapidly improving school and the SSAT have recently recognised it as one of the fastest improving Academies in the country. Exam results have improved rapidly over the last 4 years. 
We now have well over 90% of students achieving 5A*-C grades and we confidently predict another significant rise in 5A*-C including English and Maths this summer, a figure that will have increased 40% over 4 years, showing the journey we are on and our commitment to becoming an outstanding Academy.
